Safe Sport
At ABSC we are committed to maintaining a positive, healthy, and safe environment for our athletes at all times. To that end, ABSC participates in the USA-Swimming Safe Sport club recognition program. Resources and materials related to Safe Sport can be found below. - Safe Sport Best Practice Guidelines: ABSC adheres to the Safe Sport Best Practice guidelines published by USA-Swimming. To review these, click the link above.
- Minor Athlete Abuse Protection Policy: The Minor Athlete Abuse Protection Policy (MAAPP) consists of five parts: One-on-One Interactions; Travel; Social Media & Electronic Communication; Locker Rooms & Changing Areas; Massages & Rubdowns. All applicable adults at ABSC should be familiar with its terms. Certain exceptions to MAAPP requirements can be made provided written consent is given via the following forms:

- ABSC Safe Sport Coordinator: Peer to Peer Bullying; Adult to Athlete Bullying; Parent Issues; Violations of team rules and team code of conduct. To report, email Jonathan Foggin.

- ABSC Action Plan to Address Bullying: Bullying is not tolerated at ABSC. Click the link above to download the ABSC action plan to address bullying.
- Grievance Procedure: Any ABSC swimmer or parent who has a concern he or she would like to address should follow the procedure outlined in the link above.
