Members of the Gups group learn drills and strokes,
but most of all find that swimming is fun!

The Gups Team is primarily intended for swimmers age 10 & under who would like an introduction to competitive swimming. The 4 competitive strokes form the core of instruction, so we do not recommend the Gups Team as a learn to swim program. We therefore ask that swimmers be able to complete 1 lap of freestyle and 1 lap of backstroke before they enroll in the group. For those unable to do so, we recommend Super Sundays or a series of private lessons from one of our ABSC coaches. Although Gups are not expected to compete, should they express an interest in doing so, some may swim in meets with permission of the coaches.
