Gups

Group Description

The Gups Team is primarily intended for swimmers age 10 & under who would like an introduction to competitive swimming.

We will teach technique for the four competitive strokes, learn streamlines and turns, and all-around introduce Gups swimmers to competitive club swimming.

Gups participate in USA Swimming sanctioned events with their older teammates, so swimmers in this group should be able to complete 1 lap of each stroke. For those unable to do so, we recommend our Stroke Clinic Series!

Gups are encouraged to compete should they express an interest in doing so, and may swim in meets with permission of the coaches. To learn more about the Gups or group or how to register, email Mike Radford. Also see our Join the Club page. To sign up for an evaluation, fill out our 2017 Pre-registration form.

ABSC has been a part of the Athens community for over 30 years. We believe that healthy lifestyles lead to healthy communities, which is why we are proud to join other local organizations in promoting athletics for all ages. Click here to learn more about our Partners in Fitness.
