2019 ABSC Open Dawghouse - With Olympian Gunnar Bentz

The 2019 fall term is around the corner, and with it comes the return of short course season! As usual, ABSC will be kicking off it’s registration blitz for the fall term with it’s annual Open Dawghouse stroke clinic event. The event will take place on Wednesday, July 17th at the UGA Ramsey Center’s Gabrielsen Natatorium from 5 – 6:30 PM.

The 2019 Open Dawghouse will once again consist of a free breaststroke and butterfly stroke clinic for 18&Under swimmers from the ABSC coaching staff, and for the first time will feature a guest appearance! After the clinic, swimmers will have a chance to get pictures and autographs with 2016 Rio Olympic Gold Medalist, and former UGA Swimmer from Atlanta, Gunnar Bentz!

Registration will take place entirely online. To sign up, click here! This event is open to swimmers aged 6-17 with lessons or competitive swimming experience, who can can swim more than one lap of freestyle and backstroke consecutively.

The schedule for the event will be as follows:

  1. 4:50-5:00. Arrival and Check-in.
  2. 5:00. Begin stroke clinic
  3. 5:45. Diving board jumps/hot tub for swimmers
  4. 6:00 – 6:30. Meet and greet with Gunnar Bentz
